00 Animation

So, Im rewatching Double O S1 in Blue Ray, and I have to say.

Enough though, yes it looks beautiful, it almost looks too good in Blue Ray. I figured the suits, the ships and most everything cept for the characters were animated using Light Wave or some other industry standard. If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure that is how they animated the MSs in all of Seed, digitally. So, I just assumed that they did the same in Double O.

But now watching it again in Blue Ray, it makes everything so clear and stand out so vibrantly, it is clear as day that nearly 80% of everything shown on screen is hand drawn, and simply colored digitally. And watching it now in true HD, I gotta say. The art work in this show kinda sucks a little. Seeing it as fansubs in normal definition, I never really noticed it that much. But on Blue Ray, it stands out clear as day and hits you in the face.

There are alot of places where everything looks quite detailed and beautiful. But there are other places, where the suits, people and everything else just looked like it was drawn in a rush and almost reminds me of when the quality or the animation in say Gundam Wing or I might even go as far to say DBZ would drop down and just start looking like crap. There's alot of that in Double O. So, I was wondering?

Does anyone know for certain how this show was animated? Cuz I though in S2 that we were dealing with digital suits, but now I'm not sure. I know that S1 is all hand drawn, cuz Ive seen places where one arm on a Gundam isnt drawn quite right, or the same as the other one, or even places where there art fubs or pieces missing.

When Dynames is fighting Graham's flag in s1 e12. Right before Graham takes off and leaves to go provide back up for Royal Palace in Azadistan, Dynames turns to look at him and the two little yellow antenna that rise up out of Dynames shoulders were accidentally not drawn in. And it looked weird and was plain as day in Blue Ray. And there are many other fubs and Blue Ray seems to do a good job of making them more noticeable.

So, am I wrong about then CGIing the MSs in Seed and then hand drawing them here, or not? And if they did CGI the suits in seed, why not in Double O? :/

@animation: as far as i know, turn A was the last one to be hand drawn, and then it's CGI. It'd be a strange if 00 was CGI, as it's not only the details that are wrong sometimes, but also scale of body parts (as in Exia which was quite deformed when it brought Rachmadi to Marina in S1). So I can't really tell if it's indeed CGI with some filters to make it look like hand drawn or just hand drawn

As for GN Particles, as far as I can tell the amount of GN Particles is the same on both versions
